π₯ HOW I MADE VOiD DRUMS PACK (Full Breakdown)
Creating the VOiD Drums Pack series was a journey focused on one goal: delivering a complete, modern, and hard-hitting drum kit for producers. Instead of putting everything into one large kit, I decided to break it into six focused packs – 808s, Claps, Cymbals, Kicks, Percussion, and Snares – so every producer can easily find exactly what they need without wasting time.

This article explains how I created each pack, the creative process behind them, and what makes VOiD unique.
VOiD 808s Pack
15 Samples | Size. 3.98 MB | WAV 44.1kHz / 24-bit
The 808s were the starting point of the entire VOiD series because bass is the backbone of modern beats.
I began by creating pure sine wave sub-basses inside FL Studio, then shaped them using:
- Distortion & saturation
- Soft clipping
- EQ balancing
Some 808s were kept clean and sub-heavy, while others were pushed into aggressive territory for hard trap and drill beats.

One important thing I focused on was translation across speakers. Many 808s sound good in headphones but weak on speakers. So I tested every sound on:
- Studio monitors
- Headphones
- Laptop speakers
I also tuned every 808 properly so producers can instantly use them in key without extra work.
A big problem with many drum kits is that many 808s sound identical with slight changes. Even producers online complain that most packs reuse the same sounds with minor tweaks. Thatβs why I made sure every 808 in VOiD has its own character.
VOiD Claps Pack
15 Samples | Size. 2.74 MB | WAV High Quality
For the claps, I wanted a mix of punch and space.
I designed these using layering techniques:
- Transient-heavy clap layers
- Wide stereo textures
- Subtle reverb tails

Some claps are tight and dry, perfect for aggressive beats, while others are wider and atmospheric, ideal for melodic or emotional productions.
Each clap was processed to sit naturally in the mix, meaning you donβt need to:
- Add extra EQ
- Add heavy compression
- Fix harsh frequencies
The idea was simple: drag, drop, and it works instantly.
VOiD Cymbals Pack
36 Samples Total | Size. 10.93 MB | WAV 24-bit
Includes:
- 8 Crashes
- 10 Closed Hi-Hats
- 9 Open Hats
- 9 Rides
This pack was all about creating rhythm and bounce.
Hi-hats are one of the most important elements in trap beats, so I made multiple variations:
- Fast rolling hats
- Simple clean hats
- Textured hats with movement

I used EQ and stereo widening to give clarity and width, and added light saturation to make them brighter and more energetic.
Crashes and rides were designed to add transitions and energy, especially for hooks and drops.
Instead of making random cymbals, I focused on usability; every sound fits naturally into modern drum patterns.
VOiD Kicks Pack
13 Samples | Size. 2.30 MB | WAV High Quality
Kicks are critical because they need to work perfectly with 808s.
While designing the VOiD kicks, I focused on:
- Strong transient attack
- Clean low-end
- Punch without distortion
Each kick was tested alongside multiple 808s to make sure they donβt clash. This is important because poorly designed kicks can cancel out bass frequencies and ruin the mix.

I also avoided over-processing. Many modern kicks are too distorted, which reduces clarity. Instead, I balanced punch and cleanliness so they work in both:
- Hard trap beats
- Clean melodic beats
VOiD Percussions Pack
8 Samples | Size. 3.64 MB | WAV 24-bit
The percussion pack adds groove and uniqueness to beats.
These sounds were created using a mix of:
- Noise layers
- Foley-style textures
- FX processing
Inside FL Studio, I used:
- Fruity Parametric EQ 2
- Fruity Reverb
- Delay and pitch automation

The goal was to create sounds that are not basic or overused. Percussions are what give a beat personality, and even small sounds can completely change the vibe.
These percs are perfect for:
- Drill bounce
- Dark trap rhythms
- Experimental beats
VOiD Snares Pack
15 Samples | Size. 2.39 MB | WAV High Quality
Snares are one of the most important elements in any beat because they define the rhythm.
For VOiD snares, I layered:
- Sharp transient hits
- Mid-frequency body
- Light reverb tails

Some snares are tight and punchy, while others are more open and atmospheric.
Each snare was designed to:
- Cut through the mix
- Work without extra processing
- Fit different styles
Sound Quality & Technical Details
All VOiD samples follow industry-standard quality:
- WAV format
- 44.1kHz sample rate
- 24-bit depth
- Fully compatible with all DAWs
High-quality WAV files are important because they preserve clarity and allow producers to apply effects like EQ, compression, and distortion without losing detail.
Every sound in VOiD is also:
- Royalty-free
- Organized and labeled
- Ready for instant use
My Creative Approach
The biggest mistake many producers make when creating drum kits is focusing on quantity over quality.
Instead of making hundreds of average sounds, I focused on:
- A smaller number of high-quality samples
- Sounds that are actually usable
- Unique textures that stand out
I also made sure:
- No sound feels repetitive
- Each category has its own identity
- Everything works together as a full kit
Why I Split VOiD Into 6 Packs
Instead of releasing one large drum kit, I divided VOiD into separate packs because:
- Producers can download only what they need
- It keeps everything organized
- It improves workflow
For example:
- Need bass? β Use 808s pack
- Need rhythm? β Use cymbals, claps & percs
- Need a punch? β Use kicks & snares
This approach makes VOiD more flexible compared to traditional drum kits.
